CODENAME REBYL SERIES

JEANNA LUE is the writer, director, producer, and lead actress of CODENAME REBYL, the continuation of HUNTERS the series.  This is her first project as a filmmaker.

SYNOPSIS  CODENAME REBYL is about a high school english teacher Nadira Blaze who becomes a hunter for an elite covert organization called The Scourge to serve justice upon her parent's murder(s). 

​"CODENAME was spawned by my desire to show the world that black women and other underrepresented women of color do have a place in sci-fi, action, and adventure films as writers, filmmakers, producers, and more importantly heroes. CODENAME is unique with it's focus on familial relationships--brother and sister, which isn't typical of many films in this genre. I drew my inspiration for Nadira and Jackson Blaze from X-Men's Bishop and Shard."

NOMINATIONS  In 2019 CODENAME was nominated for BEST WEB SERIES at the Validate Yourself Film Festival.  Jeanna Lue also received a nomination for BEST BREAKOUT PERFORMANCE at the Newark International Film Festival.
